The Chicago Region of the Porsche Club of America was established in 1957 as the Chicago-Milwaukee region, making the 6th region in the country. The region was the host of the fourth Parade in 1959 at Nippersink Manor in southern Wisconsin. By 1960, the northern Illinois membership had grown so large that it could support its own region and a split at the border could be made. Beginning in 1960, the original Chicago-Milwaukee region became the Chicago region, and a new region was created in Milwaukee. We are one of the largest regions with more than 4000 members and are part of PCA’s Zone 13.
For more on how the region started, click here.
The members of the Chicago Region of the Porsche Club of America are joined together and are mutually pledged to the furtherance and promotion of the following:
- The highest standards of motor vehicle maintenance, driving courtesy and safety on the roads.
- The enjoyment and sharing of goodwill and fellowship engendered by owning a Porsche and engaging in such social, educational, or other events as may be agreeable to the membership.
- The maintenance of the highest standards of operation and performance of the marque by sharing and exchanging technical and mechanical information.
- The establishment and maintenance of mutually beneficial relationships with the Porsche Works, Porsche Dealers, and other service sources to the end that the marque shall prosper and continue to enjoy its unique leadership and position in sports car annals.
- The interchange of ideas and suggestions with other Porsche Clubs and other interested parties throughout the world and in such cooperation as may be desirable.
- The establishment of such mutually cooperative relationships with other car clubs as may be desirable.
- The preservation of the independence of the Porsche Club of America (PCA) and the Chicago Region, free of control or undue influence by any outside individual, organization, company, or other entity, no matter how closely aligned to the Club in interest or purpose. In furtherance of this goal, the Porsche Club of America – Chicago Region is and shall remain a totally member-driven and primarily member-financed independent entity allowing neither inappropriate nor undue influence, financial or material, from outside its domain, owing allegiance only to its members.

Event Details
The Chicago Region Porsche Club presents RADE, a novice driver school with an emphasis on safety, in Elkhart Lake, WI at Road America—one of the premier racetracks in the country. This program, held over the Memorial Day weekend, was developed to teach novice drivers 18+ the skills necessary to drive your Porsche car (Cayenne, Macan or other SUV’s, electric vehicles, and open-wheeled vehicles are not allowed) at its limits in a safe and controlled environment. All students will be provided an in-car instructor to show you the proper “line” around the track, teach how the principles of accel- and deceleration impact your vehicle, and help you learn car awareness on this 4-mile, 14-turn track.
All drivers who have not driven Road America previously should attend the valuable, novice driver’s Zoom orientation meeting on Tuesday, May 21st at 8p, featuring Dana Comolli, President/PCA National Instructor, and veteran Club Race drivers John Ruther and Greg Turek. Additional classroom sessions will be provided at the track on Friday and Saturday.
Registration for this event is exclusively at clubregistration.net where the price schedule is outlined—including premium rates for Early Birds, discounts for 2-driver cars, golf cart rental and an event long-sleeved t-shirt (may not be available if not confirmed prior to May 12th). Online waivers are required for all participants. Your entry will not be not be confirmed if the e-waiver is not completed and payment is not made. Be sure to opt in for text communications to stay up to date with all event announcements.
Cancellations must be made via email to the event coordinator or registrar and will incur a nominal fee after April 3rd. There will be no refunds after May 19th or for no shows at the event due to the cost incurred by the club to rent the track to put on this event.
We recommend booking your hotel room as soon as possible as this is traditionally a very popular weekend in this resort town. Mention PCA Chicago if booking at the Osthoff Resort to receive the discounted block room rate. Siebken’s Resort and the Shore Club are also great options. Alternately, camping is offered through Road America’s website at https://roadamerica.tixonlinenow.com/trackrentalcamping/. Campers will incur an additional $100 fee per campsite to pay Road America security for overnight hours, not included in our contract.
INSTRUCTORS: To accommodate in-car instruction for novice drivers, please sign up as an instructor, if you are comfortable. Instructors will receive a non-transferable, non-divisible $100 promo-code for each day of instruction that can be used toward any other PCA Chicago event. Instructors will be notified at least a week prior if a student is assigned.

Registration is completely free, quick, and easy. Each guest requires a ticket. Tickets are limited so please register as soon as possible. This is a PORSCHE ONLY event.
Porsche Club of America – Chicago Region is joining Barnaba Autosport for the event this year.
Barnaba Autosport has moved into their new building as of about a month ago. Just 1,100 feet from the previous location! It is absolutely amazing and they are so excited for everyone to check out their new facility!
Last year filled the entire block and parking lots with Porsches on display, with over 250 in attendance! Bringing in PCA – Chicago members means MORE PORSCHES!
Expect great food for all. Barnaba is having the on-site, professional chefs, and local catering company, BBQ on Wheels, to serve us all with freshly grilled BBQ. Don’t miss out, it is quite a spread!
There will be beautiful and rare Porsches on display. It will be an exciting sight to see!
Barnaba Autosports will be hosting a free raffle for 20 FREE Annual Maintenances ($400+ value!). One free raffle ticket per Porsche. Winners must be present at time of raffle to receive prize. You must be registered for the event to win (see registration link below). Extra raffle tickets cannot be purchased. This coupon will be valid for one year. See coupon for more details.
This is a PORSCHE ONLY, family friendly event so please bring your Porsche for everyone to view! Feel free to forward the link below to any friends or family with Porsche’s to bring along as well! Just remember, they must be registered to attend. We can’t wait to see you all!
Registration is mandatory for all guests as this is a private event. Remember, PORSCHE ONLY.
Please note: The registration link below will take you to Barnaba Autosport’s Eventbrite registration page. This a little different from the Club Registration page you are probably accustomed to. This allows Barnaba to track registrations and give their catering company a good head count. If you are a PCA member use the designated box when registering.
The Club is looking for 10 volunteers to come out early and help get things set up for this large event. Please send me an email with your contact information and I’ll get you the details. Thanks for the help.

Event Details
Once again, PCA Chicago is hosting a Driver’s Education event dedicated to and for ladies. Have you ever wanted to try your hand at driving on the track but maybe had some reservations? What were they?
- Too much testosterone at those male-dominated events
- Don’t own a Porsche
- Don’t have the need for speed
- Don’t want to or are intimidated to drive partner’s Porsche
- Don’t want partner’s judgement or advice about driving
Over the years, as we’ve encouraged women to come out and participate, these are the things we’ve heard. Well, now there is an opportunity just for you to get behind the wheel of your Porsche sports car, Porsche SUV, or non-Porsche sports car (electric and open-wheeled vehicles are not allowed) and experience what it is like to drive on the North racetrack in Joliet, IL. It’s a well-established fact that women tend to be better drivers on the track—just ask any PCA driving instructor! Not necessarily faster, though sometimes, but better because they listen to instructions and implement quickly.
This event also has an online classroom session on Monday, June 10th, starting at 7:00 PM where you will learn the basics of safely driving on a racetrack and what to expect during the event. If you have never driven on a racetrack, attending this session is highly recommended. Access information for attending the session will be emailed to new drivers in advance of the session.
This is an event just for ladies (18 or older with a valid driver’s license), run by ladies (and Dana).
Please consider joining us. You never know, you may love it as we all do!

We are invited back to the Westmont Crusin’ Nights & Street Fair. Sports Car Night, Thursday, June 27, 2024, from 5 to 9 PM. Live music, cool cars, festival environment – walk with your beverage throughout the event, food & beverage specials, kids activities, and 3 blocks of streets closed off and dedicated to classic car parking! This is a popular and long running Westmont community event, and our members always enjoy it.
PCA members who sign up will back-in park together starting in front of the popular NEAT Kitchen + Bar and on both sides of the street. The event is located on Cass Avenue in Downtown Westmont north of the BNSF railroad tracks to Naperville Road. Cass Avenue will be closed at 4:30. PCA members can then enter the event from Norfolk Avenue near Bank of America, 139 N. Cass Avenue. Volunteers in orange shirts will help direct you to the designated PCA parking area.
Please note: This is not a PCA – Chicago region event, but we need to let the Westmont organizers know how many PCA cars to expect, so please register on Club Registration so we can get a car count for them. Last year we had a new record high of 56 signed up and a very good time was reported. Once again, our good friends and fellow enthusiasts in the Windy City BMW club are hoping to break our record this year. You know what to do. Registration closes June 25.

Porsche Club of America-Chicago Region is hosting this unique opportunity to learn the fundamental skills necessary for Precision Care Control from our talented members and instructors. Fundamentals include extreme braking, importance of vehicle balance, fastest and safest line through a turn and many other skills that directly transfer to daily driving, autocross, high speed Driver’s Education and even racing! Experience what it looks and feels like to REALLY control your Porsche in a safe, controlled environment.
Who should attend?
Anyone wanting to improve their driving skills, has a need for speed, or wishes to understand and experience the capability of their vehicle in a safe, closed-course environment. This is also great for folks who plan to participate in other extreme car control, Autocross or Driver’s Education events.
What should I expect?
Classroom and in-car instruction with a heavy emphasis on driving because we believe the best way to learn is to do it! The classroom sessions cover the fundamentals of performance driving and Autocross, the events our club use to test and improve these skills. You’ll also receive personal in-car instruction while navigating through various exercises marked by traffic cones. Finally, you’ll be coached by volunteer PCA-experienced drivers as you negotiate a complete, untimed Autocross course, at your own speed. This event will occur rain or shine (besides, some driving exercises are more fun in the rain!).
Autocross School co-coordinators David Bowers and Joe Morsello, along with a whole host of volunteer instructors, will be putting on this first driving event of the season.
Please be prepared to display a valid driver’s license. Minors must provide junior waivers signed by at least one parent (preferably both).
Snell 2015 SA- or M-approved or newer helmets are required but a few loaner helmets will be available. See the sponsors section of our website for PCA Chicago supporters who can provide you with appropriately sized equipment to meet your needs.

Join us for Porsches & Pastries at a new venue for the club, Two Brothers Roundhouse Café, on Sunday morning, July 21, 2024, at 8:30 am until 1 pm or so.
Park in the designated area reserved for PCA members and grab a cup of coffee, roasted in-house, and some tasty pastry from the Café.
Two Brothers does these events every Sunday, all summer long, but on July 21, 2024, PCA Chicago will be the featured club, so get ready to show off your car to fellow club members and other enthusiasts alike.
If you are feeling a little hungry afterword, then be sure to check out their regular restaurant when it opens at 11 am. They have an incredible comfort food menu with something for everyone. And wouldn’t you know it… They brew their own beer. But wait, there’s more… They make their own spirits. Do you want to make a reservation in advance? Go to their Open Table link.
The roundhouse was constructed in 1856 to serve Aurora on the Chicago & Aurora Railroad. The walls of the structure were constructed with locally quarried limestone from Batavia, Illinois. The building is the oldest limestone roundhouse in the United States and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. And it is really cool.
But wait, there is more! Not ready to call it a day? Want to take that Porsche for a little drive? Then head on over to the Wieners & Wheels event at Superdawg in Wheeling at 3 pm. Twice the fun in a single day!
Please register at Club Registration for this event (or better yet, BOTH) so that we can inform you of any last-minute details that might arise.
See you there, rain or shine!

Come out for our 8th visit to Superdawg and enjoy Hot Porsches, Hot Dogs, Burgers, Fries, Cool Ice Cream, Beverages, and Fun Music.
Superdawg loves a good time as much as Porsche drivers do and will be providing a DJ to keep the party lively.
We will park our cars on the property, starting at the back. Picnic tables are available. You can order from the intercoms in the parking stalls and picnic tables and the friendly carhops will bring you your food, or if you prefer, go inside.
Please don’t arrive before 3 PM so our Superdawg friends can get through their usual lunchtime rush. From 3 to 6 PM the party is on. Space limits us to 100 cars.
Superdawg is a Chicago area legend, a family business serving up the fun since 1948.
Check out the menu here.
Looking for something to do in the morning? Check out Porsches & Pastries at Two Brothers Roundhouse. Double your fun.
See you there!
