The PCA-Chicago Region has scheduled its 4th blood drive with the Heartland Blood Center.  This blood drive will be held on Saturday, April 26th in conjunction with the Porsches and Pastries event at the Oak Brook Promenade (LaBriola Café).   Similarly to last year, a motor coach will be used as the location for the donations.

In the interest of community spirit and insuring an adequate and safe blood supply for all medical patients in need, PLEASE consider donating.  The blood you donate may, at some point in the future, be helping yourself, a family member or a family friend.

If you plan to participate in our Chicago Region autocrosses, one of our Driver’s Education events, or would just like to get a taste of what your Porsche can really do, then the Autocross School is for you!

New for 2014, autocross co-coordinators Jim Ptak and Cheryl Lehman Collier will try to fill Ed Leed’s shoes with brand newcontent. There will be both classroom and in-car instruction – with a heavy emphasis on the in-car portion (we believe the best way to learn it is to do it!)

We will have a classroom session discussing the fundamentals of autocrossing, followed by personal instruction in real-life exercises. Finally, we will coach you as you drive a complete Autocross course at your own speed. Times will not be taken since this is an educational, not a competitive event.

We will run this event rain or shine (besides, the skid pad is more fun in the wet!)
