Porsche Club Of America - Chicago Region

Concours

The term Concours come from the early French car shows where owners would show their prized autos to a public audience.  These eventually became judged events where the most minute detail of the machines were judged for quality and cleanliness.  In the Chicago Region we have five formal Concours that are competitive events that judge the cleanliness, preparation and condition of Porsches in several classes.  These range from the ultra-detailed judging of the entire body, engine and undercarriage to just a wash and wax for fun.  Many of our members are national class winners and are always available for answering questions and giving advise.   Each year we conduct a Concours Preparation seminar which will give you tips on keeping your Porsche as pretty as new.

Our members and judges have restored and competed at local and national events and will share both mechanical and cosmetic restoration tips with you.  We also have low pressure “Show and Shine” events which are not judged and allow us to get together and just enjoy showing our special Porsches.
