What you need to know to participate in track touring.

  1. Track touring is at the discretion of the PCA Chicago Region. See Event Schedule for track touring date and time.
  2. A minimum $10 charitable donation per vehicle will be collected prior to entering the track for touring. All proceeds will be donated to the 2009 the PCA Chicago Region charity.
  3. Rescue/Ambulance/Corner workers must stand.
  4. PCA Chicago Region will have several “pace cars” with radio communication to race control and safety vehicles on track during entire touring session.
  5. All participants in touring must sign the Chicago Region Event Waiver and Release form, and have appropriate PCA Chicago Region wristband. A separate “Waiver for Minors in Vehicles for Track Touring Laps” is required for each minor in the vehicle. This additional waiver must be signed by parents/guardians prior to track touring.
  6. Each vehicle shall have one occupant that is familiar with Road America but not limited to the driver. The driver of the touring vehicle must be a licensed driver, 18 years of age or older.
  7. Touring vehicles are NOT limited to Porsches, and may include sedans, SUVs, and trucks. Motorcycles are not allowed on touring session.
  8. 50 MPH SPEED LIMIT shall be enforced by the pace cars throughout the touring session.
  9. No passing will be permitted.
  10. Seat belts are required for all passengers and driver, as well as a minimum of one shoulder restraint for each front seat occupant. Harnesses and helmets are not required.
  11. Passenger changes are to be made on the pit lane only.
  12. Watch for slow moving or stopped vehicles.
  13. While touring is in process, you may exit the track via pit lane, through the pits and then the paddock.
  14. If a mechanical problem occurs and you are unable to return to the pits, pull off the roadway, clear of the track, and have all occupants proceed over the guardrail. Do not attempt to work on your car. Wait for help.
