Before the snow flies, and the Illinois roads are covered with salt, sand and cinder, it might be a good time to consider a variety of car maintenance and storage issues.  Your safety and the longevity of your Porsche can be enhances if you address certain issues before the winter sets in.  Whether you drive your vehicle all winter, or put it to bed, this 2 hr. tech session will help you prepare your vehicle for the elements and next year’s events.

Attendees will hear from Technicians and Vendors, as well as the Chicago Region’s own Concours and Tech Consultants.  Some of the topics covered are:

  • John Diwik, Chicago Region’s Concours Director, will discuss “Winter Car Care” and what is needed to protect your Porsche during the upcoming winter months.
  • Pat Yanahan will be demonstrating how to polish your car for the winter months ahead
  • Creator and PCA Club Racer John Walton, will present his invention, “Jackpoint Jackstands” with a discussion on how “A Jack Stand is Safe When it’s in the Right Place.”
  • Peter Sygieda, Drivers Education enthusiast/Club Racer will represent John Ruther’s Northstar Motorsports with information regarding the new SA2010 helmets, followed by a Q&A session with Club President John Ruther.
  • Chris May, co-owner of IMGT3 Performance will be discussing performance upgrades for your Porsche.
  • Wally Werner, club racer in training and owner of Werner Machine, LTD., will discuss cylinder head upgrades for your Porsche: possible winter project.

Our event sponsors will be raffling off items to attendees so take advantage of this opportunity to talk shop, and unwind in a relaxed atmosphere and potentially win some free stuff as well.

The cost for the event is $5.00; refreshments and snacks will be served.
